Land of the Northern Light

Trying to describe an aurora is relatively simple, there is a dancing light in the sky caused by solar radiation reacting with our atmosphere.
However, trying to describe the feeling and experience of the Northern Lights is next to impossible. It is an almost religious experience that makes you really stop and feel humbled by the forces of nature. We can never get enough. No matter how many times the aurora play in the sky above the Guesthouse we can not help but stop and take time to enjoy the show. It is am experience we wish as many people as possible can experience.

It is very hard to predict when the coveted Aurora borealis will show up and illuminate the dark sky, but in winter, when it’s really cold and clear we have the best chances up here in the Arctic.
