Elin took a swim in Lainio river this weekend at our Lodge in Hukanmaa, we believe she was the first one for this season.
Thanks for a lovely weekend with the best weather 🌞! We love Lapland and our local heroes ❤

Walking home after a Midnight sauna and now it doesn't get any darker than this. We are waiting for the icebreak in Lainio river and not long now before the summer season is up running with amazing fishing!

Still winter with cold nights (picture taken 02.30 last night with minus 4 degrees in the air) but a few plus degrees during the day. Seems like we need to wait a bit longer before we can start our lawnmower 🤣!
This snowmobile belongs to my son Hannes and its given to him from his grandfather Gösta that bought it new early -70's.
Hopefully we can soon put it away for its summer vacation 😀

Beautiful drive home after dropping of Hampus at the train station. Hampus has been helping me out with my old Volvo for a few days. Can't believe how much he are knew at the age of 18

Knew this would be a very special knife course together with @smilasse . Soon midnight and we keep up the good work.
Keep your eyes open for more handicraft courses at this lovely place. Together with Ulrika they have built the most amazing Blacksmith workshop 🤗

Soon the river will be free from the winter coat and the water will run free.
This means the fishing season starts soon and if you want to fish in the most unique Lapland rivers with professional guides we will arrange your flyfishing adventure 🎣.

Closing the Lounge and walking back home at 01.00 Sometimes it just hits you how lucky you are to live where you are. Connected to people all over the world through the work at our Guesthouse.
The art in the picture is made by Wouter and he found our place together with Margot many years ago on their way up to make their first art at @Icehotel. They have now extended the family last week with a healthy boy ❤! These meetings when you find new friends it magic and it wouldn't have happened if we didn't have our small Guesthouse 😀!
Far away but still close with today's communication.
