Stepping into our Guesthouse(Wärdshuset) is like stepping back in time. The over 100 year old log houses by the Lainio River have been moved from their original locations to where they stand now and were restored to their original condition. Now the houses serve as the setting for a perfect getaway from everyday life for private travellers and businesses. Here you may meet, relax, eat, and sleep in an old fashioned way.

The Guesthouse
Restaurant & Giftshop
Our Guesthouse is a beautiful log building from the 17th century. This is where we have our kitchen and serve most meals.
The restaurant serves breakfast / lunch & dinner, which we prepare from local ingredients as much as possible. Some lunches are served out in the wild in connection with activities and when the weather allows.

THE TILTED REINDEER
Our lounge & bar
The Tilted Reindeer is where we meet and have a nice cocktail or perhaps some hot chocolate and a cinnamon bun after a day out and about. We have barbecues when the weather allows and a big patio where we can soak up some sun. We have a fully stocked bar and lots of room to wind down and have a chat.

Sauna & relax
The Sauna has been central to life in the North for a long time. This is where we relax, talk and clean both bodies and souls.
Our Sauna is an old log cabin at the riverside with a great view. Enjoy the heat of the sauna and gaze at the stars (and hopefully the auroras as well) in the jacuzzi.

ORANGERI
Our beautiful orangeri is a great place to wind down and have a drink. We have a big patio overlooking the Lainio River and grow our own herbs here as much as we can.
BLACKSMITH FORGE
We have our own Blacksmith forge where we make repairs and crafts and hold courses from time to time.

We offer a wide variety of unique cabins, rooms and accomodations. All of them with a personality of their own.
LUXURY ROOM
Timber
Timber is our biggest room on the 3rd floor. The room is rustic and very spacious. Big bedroom with a small balcony, a cozy sitting area outside the bathroom.
The Bathroom is big and also has a small sauna and a bathtub.
The view from the entrance is very nice, overlooking the area of Lapland Guesthouse and you also see our beautiful river from here.
You have your own small fridge, water kettle and utilities for tea-making.
Perfect place to peak out through the front door to see if the Northern Lights are dancing in the sky!
LUXURY ROOM
Sweden
This is our high-end room/cottage with a private entrance, a lounge with fireplace and skylight, 2 bathrooms and 1 bedroom.
Very cosy log cottage with a loft bedroom, decorated with local art. The log cottage is located on the Lapland Guesthouse yard and is perfect for a private and exclusive stay in our Luxury Sweden room.

This is our high-end suite with a private entrance and private bathroom located on the top floor of our lounge with a very nice view over the river
Very cosy and private. Decorated in a light way with local art and interior details with a touch of reindeer, our magical creatures of the North.

Hugin and Munin watch over the entrance porch where you can sit and gaze at the sky waiting for the Auroras.

This room has been decorated as an homage to our transportation vehicle of choice during the winter.
HUKANMAA
Wilderness camp
Hukanmaa is our wilderness camp with accommodation for up to 4 guests, and the perfect place for private and rustic living. Basic amenities are available in the cosy log house. The sauna and river is where you wash up and relax the old fashioned way. The house has a cosy lounge with a fireplace and is also suitable for meetings.
Our Quad track where you can race buggies along the river is just outside. Here you also find our big riverside sauna with a patio and stairs leading down to the water, as well as a wind shelter and fireplace for outside dining with barbecue.
